W. H. GRESHAM Intelligence has been received in this city of the death yesterday morning, in Louisville, Ky., of Mr. W.H. Gresham, formerly of Norfolk. The deceased was the son of the late S.S. and Mrs. Lucy H. Gresham, for many years residents of this city. In early life, Mr. Gresham was associated with his father, who conducted the commission business in Norfolk, but afterwards conducted the business on his own account. On retiring from business in Norfolk, he went to New York, where he was again engaged in mercantile pursuits. Several years ago, he moved to Louisville, Ky., where he followed the active pursuits of business life until his death. He is survived by five relatives, viz. Mrs. R.W. Goode, of Petersburg, Va.; Mrs. L.G. Maigne, Miss Alice Gresham and Mrs. S.T. Atkinson, of Norfolk and Mrs. A.P. Fox, of Indianapolis, Ind. The time and place of funeral will be announced later. *********************************************************************** The remains of the late Mr. W.H. Gresham, who died in Louisville, Ky., Thursday, will arrive in Norfolk this morning and the funeral will take place from the grave in Elmwood Cemetery at 9 o'clock. Gresham, who departed this life at Louisville, Ky., Thursday, were solemnized from the grave in Elmwood Cemetery at 9 o'clock yesterday morning. The services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. C.E. Grammer, of Christ Episcopal Church, assisted by the Rev. William A. Barr, of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Following were the pallbearers: George K. McBain, J. Thompson Barron, W.C. Dickson, W. Lane Kelley, R.E. DeJarnette and Mr. Young.
