Chesapeake - Final rites will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist
Church for Samuel J. Grier, 71, of 1537 Lyons avenue, who died Sept. 7 at his home.

The Rev. H. L. Long will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Mt. Olive
Cemetery with Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Grier was a native of Charlotte and a member of First Baptist.

His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lelia Ann Grier; a daughter, Mrs. Annie
Morgan of New York; and two sons, John Henry Grier of Norfolk and James Grier of
New Jersey.
