Norfolk Journal and Guide, 27 Jan 1940
Accidentally killed by a train at Lamberts Point on January 9, funeral 
services were held Sunday, January 14 for Richard C. Griffin, 34, at the First 
Baptist Church of Lamberts Point. The pastor, the Rev. J. Jasper Freeman, 
officiated. A lfe-long resident of Norfolk, the deceased is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Mabel A. Griffin, and numerous other relatives and friends. 
Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
