Mrs. Kathryn Eanes Griffin - Funeral services for Mrs. Griffin, widow of Oscar 
Griffin, who died Sunday night at a Norfolk hospital at the age of 84, will be 
conducted today at 2 p.m. at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. 
Raymond T. McIntyre, assistant pastor of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffin was the first matron ever to be appointed at the Norfolk City Jail. 
She retired in 1943 after serving 30 years. She resided at 928 Duke Street.
