Norfolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Eliza Griffin of 1449 W. 44th street was
held Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, with the Rev. O. B.
Brinson officiating.  Mrs. Griffin died Sunday in a local hospital after a short
illness.

She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of James Griffin.  She was a daughter
of the late Henry and Mrs. Sarah Charity.

She was a member of the Widows Club of First Baptist and United Order of Tents.

She is survived by three sons, Benjamin Griffin, Leroy Griffin Sr., and Harold
Griffin Sr., all of Norfolk;  one brother, James of Norfolk;  one sister, Mrs.
Mollie Mills of Norfolk;  10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
