William H. Griffin, 66, of Campostella, husband of Mrs. Lora Mae Griffin, died
at a local hospital last Sunday after a long illness.

He was the son of the late Newton and Mrs. Julia Ann Griffin of Portsmouth.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, William H. Griffin, Jr., and
Robert A. Griffin; three daughters, Mrs. Julia M. Hunter, Mrs. Eleanor Baker and
Mrs. Elizabeth Parsons, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Alberta Clark, of
South Norfolk, and Mrs. Lillie E. Platt of Suffolk.

Funeral services were held Thursday at First Baptist Church, Campostella, at
1:30 p.m. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Pretlows Funeral Home in charge.
