NORFOLK - Mrs. Lillian G. Griffin, 80, of 119 Landale Road, widow of Charles 
P. Griffin and daughter of William Buxton and Mrs. Annie Elizabeth McDonald 
Dawley, died Wednesday at 8 a.m. in a Virginia Beach nursing home.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of Christian Temple.
Surviving are a son, William C. Griffin of Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn 
Griffin Sasscer of Upper Marlboro, Md; five grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at 3 
p.m. by the Rev. Frank Hamilton of Christian Temple. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
