A funeral service was held last week at the Mother Church of God in Christ for 
Henry Griffin Jr., 76, of 911 St. Paul street, with Bishop D. Lawrence 
Williams, the pastor, and the Rev. Herman Clark officiating.

A native of Yorktown, Mr. Griffin was a member of the National Association of 
Retired Civil Service Employees and Tidewater Council of Boy Scouts. He is 
survived by a son, James Griffin; and a grandson, James Griffin Jr., both of 
Norfolk.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Riddick Funeral Service.
