Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark April 7, 1917
Mrs. Arintha Griffith, wife of W.L. Griffith, died yesterday at 3 p.m. at the 
residence of her brother-in-law, S.W. Ironmonger, 110 Thirty-third street, 
following a lingering illness.  She was a native of Norfolk, well known and 
greatly esteemed.  Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, A.L. and W.M. 
Griffith; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Lovett and Mrs. S.W. Ironmonger, all of 
Norfolk.  The funeral will take place at the residence Sunday afternoon at 3 
o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. J.M. Rowland, pastor of Park Place M.E. 
church, assisted by Rev. J.T. Whitley.  Burial will be in Elmwood.
