The funeral will take place from the First Presbyterian Church, in this city, THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON,1st inst., at 5 o'clock. His friends and acquaintances and those of John B. Whitehead, are respectfully invited to attend. ************************************************************* On Saturday evening last the remains of the Hon. Hugh Blair Grigsby, of whose recent death at his estate of "Edgehill," Charlotte County, mention has been made in our columns, were brought to Norfolk, and the funeral took place at 5 o'clock on Sunday afternoon from the First Presbyterian Church, a very large congregation having assembled to do honor by their attendance to the memory of the illustrious dead. The services at the church were conducted by the Rev. Dr. Geo D. Armstrong, the pastor. The remains were deposited in Elmwood Cemetery, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: Dr. Charles G. Barney and Geo. A. Barksdale, Esq., of Richmond; Messrs. Charles Reid, C.W. Newton, Richard Dickson, Captain James Barron Hope, Major Edmund Bradford, W.B. Galt, Captain B.P. Loyall and General Richard L. Page.
