Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 17, 1945

Mrs. Rosa Carcuro Grillo, 72, widow of Joe Grillo and daughter of the late 
Nicholas Mario and Mrs. Raphaele Carcuro, died yesterday at 1 p.m. at a local 
hospital. Mrs. Grillo was a native of Italy and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for 55 years, residing at 809 Euclid Avenue at the time of her death. She was a 
member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. 
Louise King and Mrs. Josie Waterman of Norfolk; three sons, Nicholas Lamastra, 
of Norfolk; Dane Grillo, of Baltimore, Md. and Frank Grillo, of New York, N.Y. 
The body will be taken to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 
10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held 
at the H.D. Oliver 7:30 o'clock.
