Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, September 28, 1990 
Mary V. Grimes, of the 7100 block of Gregory Drive, died Sept. 24, 1990, in a
hospital.

Mrs. Grimes, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of Leroy C. Grimes. She was a
member and deaconess of Solid Rock Church of Christ Disciples 1 and was a member
of United Order of Tents.

Survivors include a daughter, Marion V. Asterilla, and an adopted daughter,
Warnella White, both of Norfolk; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Solid Rock Church of Christ
Disciples by the Rev. Floyd Parker. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends
may join the family from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday in Graves Funeral Home and other
times at the residence.
