Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday September 24, 1949
Mrs. Elizabeth Estelle ("Aunt Daisy") Grimes, 73, died yesterday at 3:15 p.m. 
at the residence, 1018 South Main Street, Berkley, after an illness of one week.
A native and lifelong resident of Berkley, she was the daughter of Walter 
Thomas and Henrietta Sparrow Shipley and the widow of James Lucky Grimes. She 
was a member of the Nazarene Church of Norfolk.
Surviving are one brother, J.E. Shipley, of Norfolk, and several nieces and 
nephews.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson streets, 
South Norfolk.
