Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 10, 1941
Mrs. Emma S. Grimes, of 1811 Arlington avenue, Campostella, died in a local 
hospital yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock after an illness of several weeks.  She 
was the daughter of the late Jerry and Harriet Davis Stokeley and wife of the late 
William J. Grimes, M.D.  She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. W.A. Furcron and 
Mrs. Otto Ullrich; one brother, J.M. Stokeley and one niece, all of Norfolk.  Mrs. 
Grimes was a member of Campostella Heights Baptist Church.
The body was removed to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake avenue, 
South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 4 
o'clock, Eastern Standard Time.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
