Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, July 21, 1993
Anna Pearl Grimes, 89, of the 1400 block of Chesapeake Ave., a retired 
secretary and bookkeeper, died July 20, 1993, in a Norfolk hospital. 

She was born in South Norfolk and was retired from B.F. Meginley Plumbing & 
Heating after 50 years of service. She was a member of Chesapeake Avenue United 
Methodist Church in Chesapeake, the Howell Bible Class and the Mamie Shaw Bray 
Circle. 

Survivors include four nieces, Theresa Ellerson of Norfolk, Elizabeth Harper, 
Shirley Surring and Anne Tregembo, all of Chesapeake; one nephew, Bobby Grimes 
of Miami; 14 great-nieces and nephews; 31 great-great-nieces and nephews; and 
three great-great-great-nephews and niece. 

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Chesapeake Avenue United 
Methodist Church by the Rev. John Andrews. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, 
Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk 
Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening, and at her home at all other times.
