Henry E. Grimes, 67, of 880 Johnson Street, died at the Central Hospital in
Petersburg, December 3.  Funeral services were held at Hales Funeral Chapel with
Rev. J. A. Young, of St. John’s A. M. E. Church, officiating.  Mr. Grimes was
born in Washington, NC, and has lived here for the past 15 years.  He is
survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie L. Grimes and son, Jesse L. Grimes.  Interment
was made in Calvary Cemetery.
