Virginian Pilot November 4, 1911

William T. Grimstead, a highly esteemed resident of Norfolk, died at his home, 
No. 445 Ward Avenue, at 1:55 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an illness of 
four weeks.  He was 63 years of age. The deceased at the time of his death was 
an officer for the Society of Prevention to Cruelty to Animals. 
He is survived by a widow, two daughters and one son - Mrs. E.L. Dozier, Mrs. 
D.L. Drewry and F.L. Grimstead. He was a member of Huntersville Lodge, No. 123, 
I.O.O.F. The funeral will be held from his late residence at 2 o'clock Sunday 
and will be conducted by Rev. R. Finley Gayle, of the Cumberland Street 
Methodist Church, of which he was a member.  The interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
