Grimstead, of this city, was taken suddenly ill while in his store, No. 20 Market Square, and fell to the floor, complaining of severe pain in his right breast. He was at once placed in a hack and conveyed to his residence on Bank Street. Before the vehicle had reached his home, however, he breathed his last, dying in about fifteen minutes after he was first take sick. Drs. H.M. Nash, W.J. Moore and Alex. Tunstall were called in and we learn that it is thought that the deceased died of heart disease, of which he suffered several times in the past. At the breakfast table yesterday morning Mr. Grimstead expressed himself as feeling perfectly well and was in unusually fine spirits. He was about 32 years of age and was a member of several secret orders of this city. The deceased leaves a wife, to whom he had not been married more than twelve months, and was well and favorably known in the community.
