Virginian-Pilot March 24, 1935
William Spencer Grinalds, aged 77, of Roland avenue, South Norfolk, died at a 
local hospital yesterday morning at 8:30, after an illness of six weeks. A son of 
Henry C. and Mrs. Sallie Fletcher Grinalds, he was a native of Norfolk County and 
a lifelong resident of this section. Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte 
Grinalds Martin, of Portsmouth, and Miss Sarah Jane Grinalds, of South Norfolk.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson streets, 
South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 
o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
