CHESAPEAKE - Tomasz M. Gromacki, 24, of 3608 Bainbridge Blvd., a native of Warsaw, 
Poland, died Thursday in an automobile accident in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Gromacki was employed at Busch Manufacturing Co. in Virginia Beach. He was 
sponsored as a refugee by Church of the Holy Family in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his mother, Maria Gromacki; his father; and sisters and 
brothers, all of Warsaw, Poland.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Church of the Holy Family, Virginia 
Beach. The graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road, is in charge.
Memorial donations may be sent to the church.

VIRGINIA BEACH - A 24-year-old Chesapeake man was killed Thursday afternoon in a 
two-car collision in the 900 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., police said.
Rescue workers declared Tomasz M. Gromacki of the 3600 block of Bainbridge Blvd., 
dead at the scene at about 5:30 p.m., police said.
The driver of the other car, Deborah Ann Gatlin, 25, was listed in fair condition 
at Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Her mother, Thelma Gatlin, 54, and her sister, Patricia Gatlin, 22, were 
passengers. The mother was listed in fair condition at Virginia Beach General; the 
sister was treated at the hospital and released. All of the women live in the 1100 
block of Beautiful St.
Gromacki was traveling east on Virginia Beach Boulevard in his two-door 1978 Dodge 
Colt when he made a left turn and was struck by Gatlin’s four-door 1978 Pontiac, 
police said.
