Virginian-Pilot  December 31, 1926
John F. Grook, aged 56, son of the late John A. and Mary A. Grook, died at 3:20 
o’clock yesterday morning at the home, Davis Corner, Princess Anne County. He was 
a native of Norfolk and had been a well-known resident of Princess Anne County for 
30 years. He was a member of Norfolk Council K. of C., and Holy Name Society of 
St. Mary’s Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Denny Grook; one son, 
Julius D. Grook; one daughter, Miss Mildred B. Grook, and a brother, Thomas V. 
Grook.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 11 
o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
