NORFOLK - Richard Allen Grosso, 75, of the 100 block of Orleans Circle, died Sept. 
22, 2006, in Frederick, Md. He was a native of Detroit, Mich., and was a resident 
of Norfolk for more than 45 years. He was the son of the late Dominic and Ruth 
Yeagel Grosso and was the widower of Roberta Allen Grosso. He was preceded in 
death by his daughter, Sandra Grosso and his sister, Virginia Salisbury. Mr. 
Grosso retired from the United States Navy and the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was 
a member of the Oddfellows and the Stonehouse Golf Club.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Grosso Klouser and her husband Ron of 
Frederick, Md., and his son, Richard William Grosso and his wife Laura and their 
children, Jackie and Maddie of Virginia Beach; his sister, Ruthann Fraley of 
Georgia; brothers, Dominic Grosso Jr. and Bruce Grosso, both of Michigan; his 
brother-in-law, Bill Allen of San Angelo, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary Allen of West 
Orange, N.J.; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory 
Chapel, Norfolk Naval Base by Chaplain Leske Sikorski. Burial with full military 
honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk.

Persons without naval identification intending to attend the Mass will need to 
contact the funeral home (622-7353) for admission to the Naval Base by 1 p.m. 
today.
