Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday January 29, 1946
J. Gilbert Grubb, 87, former Norfolk resident, died at 4 p.m. yesterday in 
Richmond.  Surviving him are two sons, Ensign John G. Grubb, USN and Leland 
Lee; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Griffin of Jacksonville, Fla.; one grandson; two 
sisters, Miss Elizabeth M. Grubb and Miss Emily L. Grubb and one brother, E.S. 
Grubb, of Newport News.  Services will be held at the grave in Elmwood 
Cemetery tomorrow at 3 p.m.
