NORFOLK — Mrs. Bertie Nicholson Grubb, 80, the widow of William Abbott Grubb, 
former Norfolk printer, died Tuesday in a hospital.
Mrs. Grubb operated the William A. Grubb Printing Co. after the death of her 
husband and later worked for Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a native of Brunswick County and a graduate of Longwood College. She was 
a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include a nephew, John A. Grubb of Norfolk; and other nieces and 
nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery by the 
Rev. William L. Lumpkin. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive, has 
charge. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9 and at the 
home of a nephew, John G. Grubb, 2716 Chester Forest Court, Chesopean Colony, 
Virginia Beach.
