Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch December 23, 1911
Mrs. Emily Grubb, a most estimable lady, died this morning at 5 o'clock, at the 
home of her son, Wm. N. Grubb, Virginia Beach, following a considerable period of 
feeble health, in the 90th year of her age. She was a native of England and had 
lived here many years, having numerous friends in the city. She was the widow of 
John Stewart Grubb and leaves but one child. The funeral occurs at the home of her 
son Monday at 10 a.m., Rev. Dr. N. Richards, of the Virginia Beach Baptist Church, 
officiating. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
