Virginian-Pilot April 24, 1958
NORFOLK — Miss Emily Louise Grubb, 71, daughter of the late William Newton and 
Mrs. Mary Griffith Grubb, died Wednesday at 3:15 p.m., at a Norfolk hospital. She 
was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at the Mary F. Ballentine Home at the 
time of her death.
She is survived by two nephews, E. Stuart Grubb, of Arlington, and John G. Grubb, 
of Norfolk, and one niece, Mrs. Mallie Griffin. of Annapolis, Md.
Funeral services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday 
at 2 p.m., by the Rev. Harold A. Malmborg, D.D., pastor of Freemason Street 
Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
