Virginian-Pilot December 5, 1928
GRUBB, WILLIAM NEWTON — At his residence, 237 West Twenty-ninth street, Tuesday 
morning, December 4, 1928, at 11:38 o’clock, WILLIAM NEWTON GRUBB, aged 76 years, 
6 months and 29 days.
The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox and Brother, 631 Westover 
avenue, from which it will be taken to Freemason Street Baptist Church for funeral 
services THURSDAY at 12 o'clock noon. Friends of the family are invited to attend. 
Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
