He was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and the son of the late William N. and Mary Griffith Grubb. Mr. Grubb operated his own business under the firm name of William A. Grubb and had been engaged in the fabrication of rubber stamps for 40 years. He was a member of Ruth Lodge, A.F.& A.M. and of the Ambassador Square Club. He also was a trustee of the Freemason Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertie Nicholson Grubb; two sisters, Miss Elizabeth M. Grubb and Miss Emily L. Grubb, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Edward S. Grubb, of Washington, D.C. and J. Gilbert Grubb, of Petersburg and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at a time to be announced later. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
