Virginian Pilot August 24, 1905

Evelyn Elizabeth, the 5-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Guard, died 
last night at 9 o'clock at the family residence, 225 Randolph street, 
Portsmouth, after a brief illness.
The funeral will be conducted from the family residence this afternoon at 5 
o'clock, Rev. J.W Harrell, pastor of the Christian Church, of that place, 
officiating and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery, this place.
Mr. and Mrs. Guard are well known in this place, where they have several 
relatives and lived until a few years ago.

The funeral of Evelyn Elizabeth, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. 
Guard, was held from the home in Portsmouth at 5 p.m. last evening, followed 
by interment in Magnolia Cemetery.  Mr. and Mrs. Guard were former residents 
here.
