Virginian-Pilot September 8, 1901
Mrs. Mathews (sic) Gunter, of Pocahontas avenue, who is convalescing at St. 
Vincent's Hospital from typhoid fever, has received the sad intelligence of the 
death of her infant child at her sister's in Petersburg. The little one was sent 
there to be cared for during its mother's illness.
