The Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 9, 1937

Mrs. Katie Capehart Gunter, aged 72, widow of C.C. Gunter, and daughter of John 
E. and Georgianna Capehart, died at a local hospital last night at 9:45 
o’clock. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary C. Chapman, of Norfolk. 
Mrs. Gunter was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, a member of St. 
Paul’s Episcopal Church, and for a number of years resided with Mr. and Mrs. 
E.A. Pitt.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
