Virginian-Pilot February 16, 1920
Mrs. Anna Gurley, widow of Dr. John Willis Gurley, died at Charlottesville, Va., 
at noon yesterday. The body will be brought to this city at noon today and taken 
to the undertaking apartments of H. D. Oliver. Funeral services will be held at 
the graveside in Elmwood cemetery at noon Tuesday. Mrs. Gurley leaves two 
daughters, Miss Sallie Gurley and Mrs. Charles Carroll, both of Charlottesville, 
and two sons, Henry Gurley, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Daniel Gurley, of Newark, N.J., 
and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
