His remains will be forwarded to his home and the funeral notice will appear later. The deceased, though a young man, was very well known in transportation circles. He was from Windsor, N.C., and came to Norfolk about fifteen years ago, since which time he has been in business here. Captain Gurley was a man who had numerous friends, all of whom admired him for his many excellent traits of character. He leaves a widow and one child residing in York street. The funeral of Mr. Charles Gurley will take place from the Centenary M. E. Church MONDAY at 4 o'clock p.m. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend.
