Virginian-Pilot June 15, 1957
NORFOLK - Mrs. Cecile Fockler Gutelius, 63, of 724 Graydon Ave., died yesterday 
at 3:30 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital one day after her son, Robert Nelson 
Gutelius, died in Roanoke.
Joint funeral services for mother and son will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. 
at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Beverley Tucker White, rector 
of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Burials will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Gutelius, widow of Edward Nelson Gutelius, was a daughter of Harry Lee and 
Mrs. Ella Mitchell Fockler. She was a native of Hagerstown, Md., as was her son, 
and had lived in Norfolk the last three years.
Surviving are one other son, Jacques Gutelius of Norfolk; one brother, E. C. 
Fockler of Richmond; and one sister, Mrs. S. M. Fockler of Hagerstown.
