The Virginian Pilot Wednesday November 2, 1966
Mrs. Berta Whitehurst Guy, 81, of 616 Boissevain Ave. died Monday in 
Columbia, S.C.
She was the widow of O.W. Guy and a daughter of G.T. and Mrs. Virginia 
Holmes Whitehurst.  She was born here and lived here most of her life.  She 
was a member of Freemason Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Sorrell Jr. and Mrs. Margaret 
Guy Wilkerson of Norfolk; and three grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in H.D Oliver Funeral Apartments 
Thursday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. William L. Lumpkin of Freemason Street 
Baptist Church and Dr. Peyton R. Williams of Christ and St. Lukes Episcopal 
Church.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.  The family will be at 616 
Boissevain Ave.
