Virginian Pilot November 12, 1909

Mrs. J. La Luce Guy, widow of E Guy, died early yesterday morning at her 
residence, 36 Brown Street, after a protracted illness. The deceased was 60 
years of age, and was a daughter of the Late John W Brown of Hampton. She is 
survived by the following children; Mrs. H. S. Nichols, E.L. Guy, Lee S. Guy, 
C.C. Guy, Louis E. Guy, J.R. Guy, Norman Guy and Mrs. I.S. Walker. She also 
leaves three sisters; Mrs. James R. Guy, Mrs. H.C. Dodson and Mrs. Childs. The 
funeral will take place today at 3 o’clock from the Freemason Street Baptist 
Church, The Rev Dr. S. Melton officiating.
