                        Death of an Estimable Lady

The many friends of Mrs. Mary Nottingham Guy, wife of Mr. Lee Guy, will learn 
with sorrow of her sudden death which occurred at her home on Ward Avenue, 
Ghent, yesterday afternoon, after an illness of only four days, aged 23 years. 
The deceased was a lady of most lovable traits of character and her death will 
create a painful void among those who knew her only to love. Arrangements for 
her funeral had not been made at the hour of this writing.

GUY - At the residence, 420 Ward Avenue, ,at 5:20 p.m., Monday October 8, 1900, 
MARY EMILY, beloved wife of Lee S. Guy, in the 24th year of her age.
Notice of funeral later.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Emily Guy, whose death has been previously noted in 
these columns, will be held from the Freemason Street Baptist Church at 11 
o'clock this morning and will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. Dr. J.J. Taylor.
