NORFOLK — Julia Virginia Hackney, 75, of 100 Suburban Parkway, a native of 
Norfolk and the widow of Frank Maston Hackney Sr., died Sunday in her home.
She was a member of Zion Grace United Methodist Church and Westminster Chapter 
99, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret H. Warren of Newport News, a son, Frank 
M. Hackney Jr. of Hampton, and a brother, Henry W. McDermott of Virginia Beach; 
three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smith and Williams Funeral 
Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert E. Wolff. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery. Eastern Star rites will be accorded in the funeral home. The family 
will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
