Funeral services for Stanley Haddock, 41, who drowned last week off Old Point
Comfort, were scheduled recently at Bethlehem Disciples Church. The Rev. J. W.
Acklin, pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, officiated and burial was scheduled
for Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Haddock and five other persons were fishing off W. Ocean avenue when he
apparently fell overboard. His body was recovered Saturday at Hampton.

He was a native of Washington, NC, and had lived at 521 Bank street in recent
years. He worked as a contractor.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rosa Haddock; a stepson, Willie Williams Jr; and a
brother, Roosevelt Haddock, all of Norfolk.

Baker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
