Hagler, 58, for 35 years in the employ of the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, died in a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 3:20 a.m. A native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., he had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 35 years. He made his home at 228 West 27th Street. He was a son of the late Lee and Mrs. Margaret McGinnis Hagler. He was a member and past master of Ruth Lodge 89, A.F. & A.M., Grice Commandery 16, Knights Templar and Khedive Temple. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Etta Higgason Hagler, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. V.C. Batson of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Mrs. B.D. Gup of Arlington; three brothers, W.A. Hagler, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Eugene L. Hagler and Albert S. Hagler, both of Birmingham, Ala. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
