A native of Accomac County, he had lived in this section 27 years. He was a son of Mrs. Rebecca Gladding Haley and the late J.T. Haley. Besides his mother, Mr. Haley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Hanbury Haley; one daughter, Mrs. R.A. Banks, Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Rufus and J.T. Haley, of South Norfolk; one brother, H.J. Haley, of Accomac County and three sisters, Mrs. E.T. Taylor and Mrs. C.R. Savage, of Onley and Mrs. Walter Ert, of Pocomoke City, Md. and one grandchild. He was a member of the South Norfolk Christian Church, Tidewater Council No. 30, Jr. O.U.A.M., South Norfolk Lodge No. 339 A.F. & A.M., Berkley Camp No. 46, W.O.W. and South Norfolk Klan No. 101, K.K.K. The body will be taken from the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley avenue, to the South Norfolk Christian Church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock where funeral services will be conducted. Place of burial will be announced later. ******************************************************** Rufus Duncan Haley - Funeral services for Mr. Haley, who died Friday at his home, 1130 Rodgers street, South Norfolk, will be conducted in the South Norfolk Christian Church this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The pastor, the Rev. O.D. Poythress, will officiate, and burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The body will be taken from the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 E. Berkley avenue, to the church. South Norfolk Lodge No. 339, A.F. & A.M.; Berkley Camp No. 46, Woodmen of the World; Tidewater Council No. 30, Jr. O.U.A.M. and the members of the South Norfolk Fire Department, of which the deceased was a member, have been called out to attend the services. The firemen will assemble at headquarters at 1:30 o'clock.
