The Virginian Pilot  June 3, 1955
Mrs. Mary Lou Whitehurst Hall, 78, wife of Lewis E. Hall and daughter of George 
T. and Mrs. Virginia Holmes Whitehurst, a native of Princess Anne County and a 
resident of Norfolk for the past 65 years, died at the residence, 622 
Pennsylvania Avenue, yesterday at 2 p.m.  She was a member of the Freemason 
Street Baptist Church.
Surviving, besides her husband, are one daughter, Mrs. Edward Luck, of Roanoke; 
one son, Lewis A. Hall, of Charleston, W. Va.; one sister, Mrs. O.W. Guy, of 
Norfolk; one brother, E.C. Whitehurst, of Bedford, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 2 p.m. by Dr. Harold A. Malmborg, pastor of Freemason Street 
Baptist Church, and Dr. Sparks W. Melton, pastor emeritus.  Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
