The Virginian Pilot, Friday, September 14, 1979

Mrs. Bessie J. Hall of 902 Lexington St., the widow of Ernest H. Hall and a 
native of Weldon, N.C., died Wednesday in an Emporia nursing home.

She was a member of Bank Street Memorial Church and the Woman's Auxiliary to the 
Postal Alliance.

 Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nellie H. Joyner of Emporia; two 
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Bank Street Memorial Church by 
the Rev. James C. Griffin. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Chatman 
Funeral Home and Bond Funeral Home handling arrangements.
