A native of Bradley, S.C., he worked for Snow Jr. & King 12 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, the Men's League, and Eureka Lodge. Besides his widow, survivors include three sisters, Miss Hattie Hall of Norfolk, Mrs. Irene Sparrow of Chesapeake, and Mrs. Ruth Forte of Philadelphia. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by the Rev. E. Paul Simms. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge. The body will be in church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
