Hall of 951 Galt St. died Wednesday in a hospital. He was a native of Greenville, S.C., and the husband of the late Oney Hall. He had retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a mail carrier after 30 years. Hall was a member of St. John's AME Church, its Layman's Organization, gospel choir, male usher board, Gardner and Saunders Fellowship and Wednesday Night Bible Class. He was also a member of Progressive Masonic Lodge 80. Survivors include six daughters, Oney Williams, Vivian Floyd, Geraldine Stokes and Gloria Gross, all of Norfolk, Shirley Hoggard of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Shirley Clary of Far Rockaway, N.Y.; eight sons, William V. Hall, Roger E. Hall and Wallace O. Hall, all of Norfolk, Roland F. Hall of Virginia Beach, Sidney M. Hall of Washington, D.C., the Rev. Leon B. Hall of Hampton, Clinton O. Hall of Chesapeake and William Melvin Holley of Bronx, N.Y.; a sister, Jesse Haskins of Norfolk; 61 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at noon Monday in St. John's AME Church by the Rev. Walter C. Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
