The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday December 6, 1949
Mrs. Sarah Isabelle Halstead, 76, widow of Daniel W. Halstead, Sr., died at a 
hospital yesterday at 8:30 a.m.
Mrs. Halstead is survived by five sons, Lawrence G. Halstead, Daniel W. 
Halstead, Lee H. Halstead, John D. Halstead and Philip S. Halstead; a sister, 
Mrs. Esther Lena Britt; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all 
of Norfolk.
She was a native of Edenton, N.C., and had resided in Norfolk for 50 years, and 
resided at 1628 Corprew Avenue.  She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist 
Church, and the Three Score and Ten Club.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
