Virginian Pilot January 4, 1903

Mrs. Julia Halstead, wife of Mr. Nathaniel Halstead, died at her home, on 
Montalant avenue, yesterday morning at 7:45 o'clock.  The deceased was 63 
years of age, and had been confined to her home by sickness for four years.  
She leaves to mourn their loss a husband, one son and a host of friends.  
The funeral will take place from Berkley Avenue Baptist Church this 
afternoon at 3 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. A.J. Ramsey.  The 
interment will be made in Magnolia Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will act as pallbearers:  Messrs. L.B. Allen, F.C. 
Hough, E.J. West, J.E. Cooper, George Parker, George Saunders, N.B. Langley 
and Edward Rudd.
