Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark November 3, 1928

Mrs. Ellie Hart Halstead, aged 37 years, wife of J. Wilson Halstead, and daughter 
of Frank and Minnie Petherbridge Hart, died at 1:30 o'clock Friday morning at a 
local hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. Besides her 
husband and parents, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. W.J. Fiddy; two brothers, 
Elmer J. and Frank Hart, Jr., all of Norfolk. Remains will be taken from the 
residence of her parents, 1412 Ashland Circle, "Winona," to St. Mary's Catholic 
Church for funeral services Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
