Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - January 11, 1994 
Hazel Eason Halstead, 97, of the 900 block of Bainbridge Blvd., died Jan. 9, 
1994, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. 
Mrs. Halstead was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of Percy C. Halstead. 
She was a member of Elizabeth River Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and taught 
Sunday School at Berkley Avenue Baptist Church for 34 years. 
Survivors include one brother, William Q. Eason of Norfolk. 
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Magnolia Cemetery, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. Meredith Garrett. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South 
Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
