Virginian-Pilot, November 25, 1951
Mrs. Fannie Hamburg, 70, widow of Oscar Hamburg and daughter of the late 
Solomon and Mrs. Rose Gutterman, a native of Lithuania and a resident of 
Norfolk for 45 years, died yesterday at 10:45 a.m. at the residence, 3901 
Newport Ave.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Rose Copeland and Mrs. Gus Knopping of New 
York, and Mrs. A. R. Tonelson and Miss Lena Hamburg of Norfolk; one son, Morris 
Hamburg of Norfolk; six grandchildren, six nieces and six nephews.
Services will be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts today at noon with Rabbi 
Paul Reich of Beth El Temple, of which Mrs. Hamburg was a member, officiating. 
Burial will be in B'Nai Israel Cemetery.
